ADAMITE on Goethite:Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico. Dimensions: 6.6 x 5.2 x 3.7cm, small cabinet. This is an exceptional and very aesthetic matrix Adamite specimen from the renown Ojuela Mine in Mexico. The piece is composed of several, complete, fanned radial clusters of bright yellowAdamite each composed of scores of super lustrous crystals up to 1.2cm!There are two larger and several smaller, totally complete and undamaged sprays of translucent Adamite perched handsomely on a nicely contrasting, brown to orange-brown Goethite matrix and they cascade right down the front of the piece!The two larger radial sprays are almost an inch across!The terminations of the crystals dominate the tops of the arching radial aggregates creating a scintillating effect from any incident light that's hard to capture in the photos. The Adamite glows an amazing bright neon green-yellow in short wave UV light (second to last photo)! This gorgeous piece displays very well on its own! It's a fantastic Adamite in perfect condition!
