A really large version of the Pip Changing Card effect -- most famous as Tenyo's "What's Next".

This card is 8.5 inches by 11 inches, and so it is very visible even from a large stage -- the only drawback of the Tenyo version, which could seem a bit small if used on larger stages.

The trick starts out as a sucker-type effect, with the audience seeing how you manage to show (apparently) four sides of the card -- first an Ace, then a Four, then a Three, and finally a Six. The audience realizes that you are strategically placing your hand to either show or hide pips to create the illusion of four sides. But then the card really does have Three pips, and then it really does have Six. Finally to finish and completely baffle 'em, the card is turned to show Eight pips.

The diamond pips make the card look more like a large playing card, which I think is more familiar to people than the usual "spot cards" that look like a large domino. This makes the initial illusion of four different cards more deceptive, as the positions of the pips is very familiar to anyone who plays cards.The audience may not even catch on as fast as they do with the spot-style card versions of this effect.

Card is white with red diamond pips. Card measures 8.5" x 11". Well made.

The large size of the cardmeans you will have to practice the final moves of the routine a bit more,but the extra work is not hard and the visual impact of this larger card is well worth the added practice.

Like the Tenyo version of this effect, the card is metal, and (like later versions of the Tenyo prop) the spots are "flat" -- the flat pips make the effect more deceptive at closer distances (like those living room shows). This one looks great from just a few feet.

(The deck of cards in the photo is not used in the effect, and is not included -- it is only there so you get a quick idea of how big the prop is.)
