This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing. This sample features a Joseph F. Glidden patent, dated November 24, 1874. This wire is called \"Glidden\'s All Aluminum with Two Point Barb Wrapped Around One of Two Lines\" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 317-B). This wire features two twisted together round line wires. Both of the line wires and all of the barbing wires are solid aluminum. Barbs are two pointed made by wrapping a round barbing wire twice around one of the line wires. Sample shows light tarnishing. There are four barbs. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. There is some bending of barbing points. There are no broken, or missing barbing points.
