GEN ANTONIO MACEO GRAJALES (The Bronze Titan) The Cuban Martyr in the Cuban War for Independence RARE! This is a framed Poster/print of General Antonio Maceo Grajales. The piece measures 24 3/4" wide x 29" tall x 2" thick. This man is important in both Cuban History and Black History. A fellow Freemason which to me is really cool. The frame has some issues on the corners and edges (see pictures) and the print itself was badly damaged (normally I wouldnt have bothered to restore and list but most of the original pictures of him that were once all across cuba have been destroyed so I thought it was worth saving). What survived of this poster, I mounted on plain white paper to hold it together. My next step was to commission an artist to make it nearly complete again. I never got that far and figure the new owner may wish it to be as close to original as possible or might want to do the artwork themselves. Shipped with UPS Ground.

Lt. General José Antonio de la Caridad Maceo y Grajales (June 14, 1845 – December 7, 1896) was second-in-command of the Cuban Army of Independence.

Fellow Cubans gave Maceo the nickname “The Bronze Titan" (Spanish: El Titán de Bronce), nickname that he earned after being wounded several times in battle. Spaniards referred to Maceo as the "Greater Lion" (El León mayor). Maceo was one of the most noteworthy guerrilla leaders in 19th century Latin America, comparable to José Antonio Páez of Venezuela in military acumen.
