Here is a chunk of a super dark blue jade. The first thing I noticed is how tight and gemmy the grain structure is. The color is dark blue and the stone is very translucent. There are some fractures work around, so we are offering this one a discounted price. Still plenty of great usable material in there!
These are chunks of Guatemalan Jade as wasusedby the Ancient Maya.
It comes from the Motagua River Valley in Guatemala, where it can be found in the ground and stream.
