Fostoria Frosted Figurine Pair of Candlesticks: $135.00
Elegant pair of Fostoria (so much more affordable than Lalique, but it looks similar) Rebecca at the Well Candlesticks. Approximately: 9.75 \" TallIn the 1960\'s The Henry Ford Museum of Dearborn, Michigan commissioned the Fostoria Glass Company of Moundsville, West Virginia to remake some of the Early American Glass treasures. The Rebecca-at-the-well Compote and candleholders are a portion of that effort. The original pieces were made by Bakewell, Pears & Co. in 1876. New molds were made from the original pieces and were then produced by the amazing glass craftsmen of Fostoria to turn out the most strikingly beautiful glass masterpieces. The Henry Ford Museum Collection featured reproductions made for the Museum, but also sold by Fostoria itself in fine department stores and jewelry stores nation-wide. The pieces were all \"flint glass\" (that is, what we would call lead glass today) and all are marked. They were also made in blue (see photo below)
