This is a unique opportunity to own authentic US Army Indian Wars relics. Two-item lot: one 45-70 fired copper casing, one 45-70 fired lead bullet. All items were dug on private property with permission on what was once Fort Custer, Montana. They are uncleaned and have a nice patina. The two items in the pictures are what you will get. Looking at the head stamp, the case was made in March, 1882. It is stamped with a \"R\" at the 12 o\'clock position, as it was to be shot from a rifle (Infantry). The \"F\" stamped at the 6 o\'clock means it was made at the Frankford Arsenal, Philadelphia, PA. There are no live primers, and no gun powder is present. None of these items can be reloaded. They were shot by the United States Army in the early 1880\'s in their quest to route the Sioux after the Little Big Horn battle.
