Formia is a newer glass works, operating in Murano in the 1990s. They specialized in animals in glass. This is a clear glass in smoked topaz of a dolphin. Perfect for Hawaiian, Tiki, Miami!
Richard Birt is a Laguna Beach artist who traveled to Murano in 2003 to 2004 to blow glass with Glass Master Pino Signoretto. While an artist in resident, he met with the heirs and glass blowers of the mid Century glass houses and was able to buy up all significant remaining vintage pieces. The resulting collection was rated as a Top 5 collection in the US. Many pieces were published and some pieces went to sale. I have been selected by the family as an exclusive agent to sell the remaining pieces. The pieces range from one of a kind, exhibit, and production. The bulk of the collection dates from 1930 to 1950. I will be listing these in groupings every two weeks.
