ARLINGTON STADIUM

Arlington Stadium, located in Arlington, Texas, was the former home of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers from 1972 to 1993. The stadium, which had a capacity of around 35,000 spectators, was known for its distinctive outfield fence, which featured a short porch in right field, making it favorable for home run hitters. Opened in 1965 as Turnpike Stadium, it underwent renovations and was renamed Arlington Stadium in 1971, coinciding with the Texas Rangers' move to Arlington from Washington D.C.

Arlington Stadium witnessed the talents of numerous baseball stars during its tenure as the home of the Texas Rangers. Notable players who graced the field at Arlington Stadium include Hall of Famers like Nolan Ryan and Ivan Rodriguez.
