The Iconic knife offers the highest quality components in a clean compact 4.25 inch body. The manual flipper features a drop point stonewashed blade made of CPM S35VN steel from Crucible Industries. CPM S35VN (Crucibal Industries)
CPM S35VN is one of the most coveted knife steels in today’s premier and custom knives. Designed and developed in cooperation by one of the best custom knife makers in the US and released to the tool and knife community in his honored knives; this steel offers great edge retention, toughness, stain resistance and still easy to sharpen.

A martensitic stainless steel designed to offer improved toughness over crucibal’s S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. Its chemistry has been rebalanced so that it forms some niobium carofferes along with vanadium and chromium carofferes. Substituting niobium carofferes for some of the vanadium carofferes makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. Because both vanadium and niobium car offeres are harder and more effective than chromium carofferes in providing wear resistance, the CPM stainless blade steels offer improved edge retention over conventional high chromium steels such as 440C and D2.

The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grind ability, and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional melting practices.
