Unfortunately the barrel key for the lock on this beautiful handcrafted wooden box is not included!! It is not signed and it is in EXCELLENT condition with no damage!! I believe it is a reproduction of a Colonial style writing box!! There is a brass pin that keeps the drawer in place when the lid is closed!! I am not sure of the wood used but I am guessing mahogany and it has brass inlay around the edge of the lid with a brass drawer knob and lock faceplate!! Approx. 5\" high at the lid center X 12.25\" X 4\" on the bottom, the upper compartment is 10.75\" X 3.25\" X 1\" deep with a .5\" recess in the lid, and the drawer is 7.25\" X 2 3/8\" X 1.5\" deep internally!!
