Design Colusa was a premier signage that embodies a very popular Miami Beach Art Deco hotel pattern that I believe was made for a particular Miami Beach hotel that had all the draperies in the entire hotel made of this pattern. I say that because I saw it firsthand...I saw that a lot actually with various patterns and at the time the hotels were hand in hand with the designers who were relying on their vacations to Miami Beach to inspire their own decors at home. This tropical spirited delight comes to you with the original lineage of the Art Deco hotel scene.
This offering is for ONE barely used washed remnant of a thick and nubby terrific patterned barkcloth that was part of a drapery panel and still has a rod pocket...side selvedge through is untouched and like new...a crisp gray ground with sprays of leafy spikes so popular and consistent with the Art Deco bones of South Beach...cobalt and periwinkle blues bordering on lavender...purple pink...orchid purples...banana yellow and creamy yellows...with a deep dark ink navy and white accents. bubble gum pink...merlot burgundy...maroon...lemon yellow...chartreuse gold...deep dark teal...dusty aqua greens with a spearminty twist. Measures 22 inches wide x 64 inches long. A designers paradise...have at it...this'll make a scrumptious pillow! There were pleats at the very top that were removed and you can see where they were...leaving the rest essentially in unused looking shape.Flawless.
