From the Collectors Edition is a Limited, number and signed edition of Frau Holda, a part of the History Of Santa II collection from Duncan Royale. These statues are so detailed and carefully created to highlight all of the features. She stands with her long hair flowing behind her and a whip in her left hand, her dress covered by a yellow cape. I had to look up the history of Frau Holda out of curiosity. She was a Norse goddess who was the bringer of winter, amongst other things.
She is numbered \"544/10,000 Ltd. Ed\". On the base there are two foil stickers; one reads \"Collectors Edition, Duncan Royale, Fullerton California\" The other one reads: \"History of Santa II, Frau Holda, 1985 P. Apsit, M.E. Duncan\". Most importantly, on the green felt underneath, there is the hand written signature of \"M. Duncan 1990\"!!This statue stands approximately 11.5\" and is very heavy as it\'s solid resin. I do want to note that I have noticed cracks at her feet and took close up photos of this. I believe that it\'s just the surface layer of the resin drying and created that crack over time because I can not detect any weakness in that area that might make it less stable. I always look over everything I sell closely so I can be honest and disclose things to potential new owners. I noted that where her hand holds the leather whip, I can\'t tell if that was a crack that was repaired or if it came that way when made or perhaps another one of the surface cracks. I came upon this and another figure at an estate sale. There were many in the History Of Santa collection at the home displayed on a shelf so they had no real handling or usage other than dusting. But I want to point all things out so please look at the pictures and video for yourself.
