DESCRIPTION

This is a listing for Vintage FOSTORIA MELAMINE heavy plastic dinnerware. This is a Cream and Covered Sugar set.These are SKY BLUE in color.The pattern is called CASUAL FLAIR and was to coordinate with the Kismet, Blue Meadow & Country Garden patterns.This was promoted as break resistant, fade proof, dishwasher proof, husband and child proof.The script Fostoria name is signed on the bottom.The overall style is MCM Mid Century Modern and retro. In Juanita L Williams book "Fostoria Glass Rare, Unique & Whimsies", she devotes pages 30 & 104-107 with pictures and the story behind the development of this line of dinnerware. This would be a fun set to use for patio dining or a picnic.This was made for the Fostoria Glass Company in Moundsville, West Virginia, USA by Latham Tyler Jensen Chicago Molded Plastics.

The creamer measures approximately 3 1/2" in height and 5 1/4" handle to spout. The sugar measures approximately 4" in height and 4 1/2" in diameter.
