This is an original printing of THE FARMER'S ALMANACK , CALCULATED ON A NEW AND IMPROVED PLAN, FOR THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1814, by Robert B. Thomas, published in Boston in 1813 by West & Richardson and Printed by E. G. House in a 12mo. measuring 4.5" x 7.5" and containing 24 unnumbered leaves including a woodcut-illustrated title leaf, and a woodcut illustration heading for each month of the year, the leaves being bound by side-stitch. This is No. XXII or, Thomas' 22nd annually published almanac, first published in 1792. Contents include Money & Interest Tables, Preserving Beef, Court-related info., a 5-page section at rear on Agricultural subjects such as the cultivation of the Canker Worm for its silk thread, Planting Indian Corn on Ridges, followed by Poetry & Anecdotes and lastly 3 pages of distances of roads and towns leading from Boston, and the names of the Innkeepers along the way.
