This is a rare unusual piece, the glaze work on this is awesome. It shadows in all the right places and there a very few under glaze boo-boos. No damage at all. I struggled with letting this one go but I have to downsize. It\'s a very high gloss light blue green color. I love the seahorse handles and you can see the turtle descending in front of the Phoenix as it\'s lovely tail gracefully wraps around the vase. The scene depicted is \' The Phoenix rising from the watery chaos\'. The phoenix was a mythological bird and is also known as the bird of paradise.It has a makers mark on the bottom, but the glaze is fairly thick and I can\'t make it out you may be able to see it in the pictures a little. It\'s almost 7 3/4 tall. Thanks for looking!
