When I was roaming through the home of a collector who had gone to assisted living, I passed by this numerous times assuming it was plastic or resin because it was just too much effort to be a hand made piece. When I did pick it up and look closely at it, I was blown away by the skill of the carver and the overall design of the object. It is simply a little box to keep things in which could sit on a dresser, but the level of skill to have it be an objet d\' art is displayed here. I love this little box in a different stage of life it would be a keeper!
