For sale is an exceptionally high-quality Italian porcelain plaque depicting a rendition of the self portrait painting of the well-known French artist Elisabeth Louise Vigee-Lebrun (1755 - 1842)

Titled: Mademoiselle Le Brun

The plaque is a portrait after the painting "Self Portrait " by Elisabeth Louise Vigee-Lebrun which she created in 1791. That original portrait is in The National Trust Ickworth UK.

This is an exceptionally high-quality version of that original painting done in extremely fine detail. The plaque has no artist signature that we can see, but it has the well-known Fleur de Lis Firenze mark on the reverse.

There is further pencil inscription on the back which is related to a previous owner and a date of when that previous owner acquired this plaque.

Framed in a gorgeous rich gold gilded Florentine style picture frame.

It's not hard to Firenze Porcelain plaques but you don't ever see this particularl portrait come up for sale.

Condition: in overall good condition. The gold gilded picture frame with some areas of age appropriate loss/chips and some hairlines. Overall very sturdy and in exceptional condition for age.
