A museum quality Iñupiaq doll depicting a mother in traditional fur parka with child on her back. They are wrapped in an amauti crafted from ground squirrel fur with rabbit fur trim, and she has animal hide, leather, and rawhide mukluks on her feet. Woman has real human hair on her head, and is holding a birch bark basket and carved wooden spoon in each hand. Crafted by the \"Mother of Eskimo Doll Making,\" Iñupiaq doll maker, Ethel Washington, (1889-1967), whose works are housed in the Smithsonian\'s National Museum of the American Indian. Measures approximately 4\" x 2.5\" x 12\" tall.
