A very nice English Edward Thomason Patent Corkscrew with Bone Handle - Pat # 2,617, dated May 7, 1802. This piece is in very good clean condition. It is in good working order, with no broken or damaged parts. The barrel has no dents or cracks. The badge shows a reclining lion with an oval patent mark. The bone handle has no chips and two small thin stress cracks. The brush in the end of the handle is missing. The corkscrew operates smoothly and has a good full worm.
