Offered is the unit history Engineering In The Pacific Theater,with the 1629th Engineer Construction Battalion authored, edited and published by the Unit . This history was apparently printed in Japan at the end of the War . Condition of this 11 3/4 by 9 1/4 inch, 52 unnumbered page book is very good. The 1629th was not activated until 2 January 1945 with a readiness date of 10 March 1945. This unit and other units of the type were obviously a part of the build up to the planned Invasion of the Japanese Home Islands. Soft bound with illustrated covers. There are 6 available, all in very close comparable shape. Your copy, as well as the others may have cover wear, spine wear, watermarking, foxing and signs of use.
