This is a large and beautiful enamelware double-walled roaster. A double-walled roasting pan is a type of roasting pan with a coupe-shaped interior that curves away from the outside wall, creating a double wall. During the 1920s and 1930s, these were very popular. Many were lost during WWII as they were used for scrap metal. It's amazing to find one in such wonderful condition.
The lid enamel is shiny and intact. There is a little bit of wear around the inside rim and at the handle. There are a few small scratches on the outside of the lid. The enamel on the bottom is shiny and intact around the outside. The inside has wear commensurate with its age and roasting but is completely intact and clean. Please see photos!
This would be a wonderful addition to country, farmhouse, or early 20th Century decor. Of course, it would be great to cook with as well!!
