Description

Early Pre-Dog Victor Type M Incomplete Phonograph Talking MachineThe footprint of the cabinet is 12 7/8\" by 12 7/8\".Please notice that a few inches of trimming is missing (pic 7). An member informed me was intentionally done on some M machines, to accommodate a back bracket, for a back mounting conversion.

This attractive oak cabinet has its original finish which has been top coated and rubbed, it presents well. The tag is an early pre-dog Victor I.D. All corners are intact.

The original 10\" platter has no hairlines.

The phono most likely began its life as a front mount machine and later was converted to rear mount. The threaded center spindle is missing its record hold down.

The bullet brake shows a lot of wear, nevertheless it is in good working order.

The motor is in very good working condition.

All in all, this is a rare item and it is in very good condition.
