This is an excellent Stereo card of the shaft house and smelter of a Zinc and Lead mine in Joplin, Missouri. It is from a Keystone “Tour of the World” 400 card set (the cards are numbered T1 to T400) from about the 1930\'s. The card is titled \"Shaft House, Smelter and Tailing Pile, Zinc and Lead Mines, Joplin, Mo.\" and is numbered 371 with a Keystone negative number of 16704 T. This card is in excellent to near mint condition and measures 3 1/2\" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject and is misprinted off center. This is an uncommon error. I will be listing more Stereoviews on a regular basis, so check back for more views. Don’t miss out!

Stereoviews or stereo cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
