The English Illustrated Magazine was a monthly magazine published in the latter part of the 19th century and the early part of the 20th century. As the name implies, it was illustrated, and many of the popular illustrators of the day contributing to various issues. The articles were both fiction - sometimes serialized, and non-fiction, plus poetry and ballads. Again many of authors were the top writers of the day, and the magazine was often offered the first publication of some texts.

Condition: Generally the condition is very good for a book that is well over 100 years old. There is some foxing, including on internal pages, some vintage water staining to the edge of early pages. The cover boards are bumped and show some wear. All the book is in very good readable condition. The volume pictured below is the one you will receive.
The book has 832 pages, and measures approximately 26cm x 16cm, and weighs around 1.9kg.
