Here’s abeautiful pipe from EHRLICH shop, and it’s marked SPECIAL GRAIN. The pipe isfrom the esteemed Tobacco shop out of Boston, MA. which started in 1868. Theyhave a long heritage for fine pipes, and I’m thinking this one was producedin-house. They are known to have pipes made with EHRLICH stamp from some of thebest pipe makers worldwide, plus they made their own pipes of high quality.This is the second SPECIAL GRAIN marked model I’ve seen from them. The pipe isa full-size Dublin shape, with a round shank and vulcanite taper cut bit. It’sgot a natural or “virgin” stain. It earned the SPECIAL GRAIN grading, has a mixof flame and contrasty swirly patterns. The bowl condition is excellent, nonoted wear. Inside top rim has slight wear. The inside of the bowl is evenlywell-seasoned from use, with super thin cake thickness, draw hole bottomcenter, and it draws easy. The stem is vulcanite, taper cut. The pipe weighsabout 1.3 ounces, draws great. Been freshly polished and is ready to smoke!
