Kothimora Khukuri has the cover of pure silver. Khukuri is the national weapon of Nepal. It is gifted to the retiring Gurkha or British Army Officers. Traditionally, it also supplements a groom with his customary dress in marriage ceremony in Nepal. The sheath is exclusively designed using pure silver ornamentation with a velvet background matching the color of the battalion.This special kothimora is made for presenting to Royal Families. The name Kothimora is given to the khukuri (kukri)whose scabbard is embellished with silver.The scabbard is highly ornamented using pure silver filigree with different traditional patterns, exceptionally done by hand. The blade is made of reinforce carbon steel and high polished (buffing). The scabbard of this kukri is made of wood covered mounted with pure silver. It has a beautiful design of leopard in the middle and peacock in the bottom. The cross kukris (gurkha insignia) and king’s crown (cap badge) has attached on the to of scabbard.
