EDENBORN\'S LOCKED-IN TWO POINT on STRAIGHT & WRAPPED LINES - ANTIQUE BARBED WIRE:

This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing. This sample features a Wm. Edenborn patent, dated March 17, 1885. This wire is called \"Edenborn\'s Locked-In Two Point Barb on One Straight and one Wrapped Line\" bycollectors. (ref Hagemeier 298-B). This wire features two round line wires. One line wire runs straight and second line is wrapped around the first line. One barbing point goes between lines and is bent upwards. Other end is wrapped around both lines, and bent parallel to first barbing wire. Wire sample is 18\" in length and has six barbs. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Wire shows moderate oxidation. There is some bending of points, but no broken or missing barbs.
