LuisMiguel González Bosé(born3 April 1956), usually known asMiguel Bosé, is a Spanishpopnew wavemusicianand actor. Bosé was born in San Fernando Hospital inPanama City,Panama,the son of Italian actressLucia Bosè(1931–2020) andSpanish bullfighterLuis Miguel Dominguín. He is also a cousinto the late Carmen Ordóñez, a Spanish celebrity in the bullfighting world. Boségrew up surrounded by art and culture:Pablo PicassoandErnestHemingwaywere close friends of the family. The filmdirectorLuchino Viscontiwas his godfather whilePablo Picasso was the godfather to his sister Paola Dominguin. Propelled by hisfamous family and their friends, Bosé started a career as an actor in 1971,taking part in various movies. He quickly found work on the basis of his talentand good looks rather than his family name. He studied acting as well asdancing and singing. Due to the lack of acting opportunities, he startedexploring his talents as a singer in 1975. With the assistance ofCamilo Sestoherecorded his first singles. Two years later, in 1977, Bosé signed a contractwithCBS Recordsand he remained with themuntil 1984. Between 1977 and 1982, Bosè was a major teen idol in Italy, Spain,Southern Europe and in all Latin America. He had 7 top ten hits that earned hima secure spot in every televised song festival held in the aforementionedcountries. By 1983 his star had severely waned in Italy, and he rarelyperformed there again until the 2000s, retreating to Latin American marketsinstead. From 1983 to 1985, he participated in the \"Llena Tu Cabeza DeRock\" television specials onPuerto RicanWAPA-TV.In 1985 he enjoyed his greatest success with \"Amante bandido\" whichtopped the charts all over Latin America and in Spain.
