This stunning flip top sugar bowl is Early American Pressed Glass. It's a larger size, standing 3 3/4 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches in diameter. The stainless steel lid is marked Utilities Specialities, Jersey City, NJ. Normally a plainer, more utilitarian piece, this slip top sgar is a showstopper and was made to stand out. This pattern was used at Child's Restaurants in NYC as well as other higher end restaurants. The base is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The lid shows wear of the stainless steel as seen in the pictures but the hinge is tight. Perfect for any diner or restaurant ware collection.
