This is an original Douglas F4D-1 Skyray Mach 1 Fighter USN USMC Pilot's ejection seat survival seat kit. This kit is marked as being from Douglas aircraft. This kit came out of aircraft Bu. No. 139094. The F4D-1 was later renamed the F-6A. The Skyray fighter was the first aircraft carrier fighter to go Mach 1 in level flight. It was designed as a fast interceptor and broke the time to climb record to 50,000 feet. It has a good cushion with good padding. This kit has the oxygen bottle inside. It is designed to have the raft bag attached to the bottom of the kit. The kit is 16 x 17 x 9 inches and weighs 13 pounds. This item is being sold as a collectible.
