Rare original antiqueprint from an 1890s French illustrated journal. It depicts a beautiful Great Pyrenees dog enduring the play of dachshund puppies who chew on the big dog's tail! Above the picture is the start of an article about the picture. It continues on the back of the page. The French article can easily be translated online for free from a cell phone picture of the text.
The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills about half the page and measures about9 x 6.75inches, with a Frenchcaption below and unrelated text around it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
