Rare, hard to find Detrola Model 106 tabletop art deco radio that is in exceptional condition.  This radio has been completely restored inside and out and is a must have for the discerning collector.  Radio works well, receiving stations quite readily on the AM band with no background noise.  The radio has short wave and Police bands, but reception is difficult in this area and I could not get reception.  All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well.  The finish on the radio has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wax.  The only noticeable defect is a minor ding in the finish on the right side edge (see photo). The grill cloth is in excellent condition with no rips or tears.  Power cord is in excellent condition.  Highly desirable radio that is a must have for the collector.   In order to ensure safe delivery, the radio will be double boxed.  Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
