I am a fully qualified (Cytech ) Bicycle mechanic. My passion is locating quality vintage bicycles and keeping them on our roads for years to come.

I picked up this 90’s Dawes Galaxy locally from its original lady owner.

She is a 19” Frame with 700c Wheels.

It had been unused and in dry storage for a number of years. Other than having a flat bar conversion she was all original and a great starting point for recomissioning.

She is now looking fantastic , fully recomissioned and ready for many new adventures.

The following work has been completed.

: Frame renovation with new decals.

: All bearings ( hubs, Head and BB)replaced.

: New inner and outer Gear and Brake cables

: New Brake Blocks

: New Chain & Cassette

: New Tyres and Inner tubes

: New Handle Bar tape

Anyone that knows these bikes will know they make fantstic touring bikes , they are also ideal around town.

The 531 Reynolds frame and forks are complimented by a 18 speed drive train .

I have deleted the original down tube gear shift relocating it to a safer place on the bar stem.

CB leightweight bars fitted with Weinmann double pull leavers allow you to choose to brake from the top bar riding position.

The 700c wheels are complimented with new Panaracer 700x 28 tyres.

She rides really well and will be a safe and reliable bike for a new owner.

If anyone viewing this would prefer a change of saddle or flat bar conversion , this can be arranged. Please ask.

For UK buyers the bike will be shipped in a robust bike box , carefully packed and protected.

There will be the need to dissmantle some of the bike . I will keep this to a minimum and advise the new owner on what needs reassembling . The new owner will need to ensure this is done safely.
