DUNHILL ROOT PATENT ERA (1950) GROUP 4 *Excellent Condition* English Estate Pipe:

An excellent Dunhill ROOT, Group 4, made during the Patent Era and more precisely in 1950. Excellent flame grains (not so common in Dunhill pipes) all over the surface of the bowl of this straight pipe. 

In other words, a 73 years old Dunhill which is in excellent condition. 

Its weaknesses : A very small local blackening on the bowl exterior towards the rim (see photos) without however any damage to the briar, and the ware of the stamps on the backside of the shank as not all of the letters and digits can be distinguished with naked eye. The number 0 after the word ENGLAND signifying 1950 as the year of manufacture is in any case distinguishable.

Bonus : a beautiful leather pouch by one of the oldest and best tobacconists in Athens, and a collectible box with Dunhill tubes (20 tubes inside, 5 are shank : DUNHILL, LONDON, R, 4 [in circle], MADE IN ENLAND0, PAT.No 417574/34, K F/T  [some of the stamps partly faded]
