DB Mariner 1 Golden 09The DB Mariner Golden 09 is a classic Diplomat shaped pipe with a half bent saddle stem. The bowl walls are substantial so it will be pretty hard to overheat this pipe even with the most fierce burning light Virginia. The bowl shape fits beautifully and comfortably in the hand for a firm, comforting grip, which is needed on a pipe of this character. They are not made to be dainty and light so your dentist would not be happy of you walked round town with this pipe hung from your mouth for days on end. These pipes are made for large full bodied pipe fills when one has a spare couple of hours in front of the fire (usually a 3 bar fire in the shed looking over the garden nowadays) The Mariner is undoubtedly a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
