The most common variation of the David Mayer Brewing Co. bottle was embossed with the brewery name and address.Initially, the brewery focused on brewing strictly lager beer, but over the years, they also produced ales.
Embossed lettering “David Mayer Brewing Co. Bottling Dept. Fulton Ave. 168th & 169th St. NY,” is a blob top beer bottle.

Legacy and Survival:
The brewery’s history traces back to 1848, when John Noller opened a brewery at the same location in Morrisania, Bronx.The business changed hands several times until it was eventually taken over by the David Mayer Brewing Co. in 1882.Interestingly, during Prohibition, the brewery survived by producing near-beer (low-alcohol beer).
Eventually, the Eichler Brewery (which had absorbed the David Mayer label) was acquired by Rheingold Brewing in 1947, and the Eichler label continued until ITEMS ARE SHIPPED VIA UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE
