This pen is 7 of 20that I currently have. I have to show them separately because each one is different in color and shape. Each pen is hand turned from South Louisiana Sinker Cypress. The pen is coated with several coats of CA glue to give it a durable surface with a high luster. The pen is a 1/4 turn twist pen equipped with a black \'Cross\' style refill. To replace the refill, when necessary, simply pull the pen apart at the middle unscrew the old refill and replace it with a new one. Sinker cypress is cypress logs that have been submerged in the rivers, bayous, swamps of the southeast region of the U.S. These trees were axe cut during the lat 1800\'s. Many of these logs were axe fallen from virgin forest during the industrial timber harvest from 1880-1920. They were 150-1500 years old at the time of the harvest. When you by this pen, you own a small piece of an ancient tree!
