Here is an awesome larger specimen of Covellite, collected in the late 70s by Duane Johnson in the then operational Leonard mine. Shortly thereafter the mine ceased to exist and became part of the now Berkeley pit. Larger Covellite specimens are ever harder to find, and this is a good specimen. As photo\'s show, purple tones are predominant on this specimen, some side matrix present which is good for the contrast. Please keep in mind that Covellite these days goes for about $250 per lb, so this specimen should be a relative steal. This specimen is 1 lb and 4 3/8 oz, or 577 grams. The size is 4 inch x 2.5 inch x 1.5 inch. Please be advised, I ship with Ground Advantage.
