An excellent copy of ADVANCED INORGANIC CHEMISTRY by Cotton and Wilkinson (5th Edition, 1988). A seminal volume on the subject that is the standard reference and a go-to book on the desk of many chemists and scientific profressionals not just in the filed of inorganic chemistry, but also for organic chemists, physcial chemists, biochemists, chemical biologists, etc.

It is THE copy of this book that held a spot in the company library of Parke-Davis in Holland Michigan for many years, including the years that the site was owned by Warner-Lambert and later by Pfizer. During the various site closures and reconsolidation of facilities by Pfizer over the years, the entire, extensive library of Parke-Davis / Warner-Lambert was eventually shipped across country to a new Pfizer site in La Jolla, California (legacy Agouron Pharmaceuticals). The brand new, relocated library in CA was eventually also closed and the collection of books was liquidated.
Suffice to say that this copy of Cotton and Wilkson has been consulted by and touched the hands of very many chemists from these esteemed companies over the years, and despite its\' history is surprisingly in VERY GOOD shape, has been treated well and does not appear to have been used very frequently.
There are library stamp markings for Parke-Davis Co.,Warner-LambertCo. (Holland, MI)and Pfizer - La Jolla are visible on the book ends, and inside of the front and back covers (see photos).
The book is in very good shape and it is difficult to find any significant flaws other than standard signs of some light use. Some soiling at the bottom page edges (from thumbing through) that might come off with some cleaning. Overall, this book is a very clean copy.
An excellent copy with some history of interest (priced for the collector).
