Here is a beautiful and rare example of Corundum from Canada! There are multiple localities in the Bancroft area which have produced good corundum crystals, but they have always been rare. This is about as perfect as a thumbnail as you can expect, with a well formed corundum crystal on matrix. This thumbnail is from an older collection. Even though the specific locality in the Bancroft area is not on the label, I would imagine that serious collectors of Canadian minerals will be able to deduct from the style of this corundum, which locality is likely for this specimen. Due to the higher price I had to pay for this specimen, I will not entertain offer on this specimen, and will turn it over for approximately the same price I paid for it.
