Handwritten letter, complete with envelope, and signed by Benedetto Croce (Pescasseroli 1866 - Naples 1952).Recipient Giuseppe Billanovich (Cittadella 1913 - Padua 2000).I refer you to the photo gallery for details, a cut on the fold of half of the letter. Billanovich\'s transcription notes of the contents of the same letter sent to him by Croce are visible against the light.
Contents of the letter: Benedict of Mantua Benedetto Croce writes to Professor Billanovich from Arcore where he is passing through as his address until early October remains Pollone (Biella) and not the usual one in Naples.\"So I have the following archival data on Benedetto da Mantua:1) State Archives of NaplesGeneral Register of the Benedictines extracted from the papers of the monastery of S. SeverinoBenedetto made his profession in Polirone on 21 December 15192) State Archives of VenicePapers of S. Giorgio MaggioreBenedict of Mantua was there and took part in acts such as decanus3)Catania ArchiveAt the end of August 1537 he moved from Venice to the Benedictine monastery of S.
