Scarce WWI Bavarian Civilian Visor Cap. In excellent condition. We do not know much about this piece. Visor is coming loose and needs to be re-attached. This is an all original piece, never worked on. Wonderful front embroidery. The initials O V with a nice shield in the center flanked by lions. Possibly for some Verein or organization. Originally purchased 25 years ago from an estate located in Rain Germany in the state of Bavaria. The colors are similar to the city colors. r Size about 67 1/4".
