CIRCA 1900 LILAC & BUTTERFLIES PAIRPOINT PUFFY REVERSE PAINTED GLASS EARLY ELECTRIC SHADE & BASE

Circa1900 Pairpoint \'Puffy\' lilac and butterflies floral decorated reverse painted early electric lamp shade and base. Manufactured by the Pairpoint Corporation of New Bedford MA in the early 1900\'s.Wonderful signature \'Puffy\' shade, this form referred to as the \"lilac tree\' shade blank by Pairpoint. Please reference Pairpoint Lamps by Edward and Shelia Malakoff. Reverse painted with lovely lilac-blue flowers alternating with soft pastel pink-red roses, pastel green and yellow leaves in the background. Large yellow butterflies with black tipped wings hover over the lilac flowers. The outside of the shade in the signature \'Puffy\' soft satin finish that imparts a dreamy quality to the shade\'s decoration. Beautiful. Signed on both sides of the bottom inside rim of the shade; \'PATENTED JULY 9 1904\' on one side and \'THE PAIRPOINT CORP\' on the other side. Very well done. The shade is approximately 10\" wide,approximately 6 1/2\" deep. Undamaged with no chips cracks or breaks, no loss to the reverse painted decorations. Lovely slender signed and numbered base, signed \'PAIRPOINT B3024 MADE IN THE USA\' with the signature Pairpoint diamond logo. Restored brass finish base, with original period acorn pull-chain socket. Re-wired at some recent point, please have your electrician check the wiring. The lamp is approximately 15\" tall overall. Lovely early 1900\'s Pairpoint \'Puffy\' reverse painted lamp to add to any decor.
