1. Envelope canceled Morris & Essex R.R. July 31 addressed to Miss E.L. Green, Denville, N.J. 3 cent Washington stamp2. Envelope canceled Denville N.J. Mar. (4 written in ink) to Miss E. Louise Green. Chester Institute, Morris Co., N.J. Letter from her mother 3 cent Washington stamp. The Chester Institute was a boarding house for young girls. 0 home of the former mayor Budd and the 1st home of Mangel\'s candy3. Envelope addressed to Miss E.L. Green. Stamp missing. Partial cancelation of Morris & Essex railroad (R.R.)4. Envelop with Aug. 21 Stanhope, N.J. cancellation. 3 cent Washington stamp.5. Blank letter with dried flower labeled cousin Suan\'s bridal rose6. Envelope with 3 cent Washington stamp addressed to Miss E.L. Green, Denville, N.J. with right part of stamp and Morris & Essex R.R. torn off. Inside is dried flower labeled Budds Lake July 4, 1864. Stamp cancellation is Sept. 17. Envelope addressed to E.L. Green with Aug. 30 Budds Lake cancellation. The stamp is missing. The 1st D in Buds Lake looks more like an O.8. Envelope canceled Denville, N.J. Jan 19 (written in pen) addressed to E. Louise Green, Chester institute, Morris County N.J. Letter written 1/18/1862 content includes a boy who died of lung inflammation and a girl who fell of sled and died of brain fever.9. Envelope addressed to Miss E. L. Green, Denville, N.J. No stamp. Stanhope, N.J. cancellation - August10. Envelope addressed to Miss E.L. Green, Denville, N.J. 3 cent stamp torn by opening envelope on back with Morris & Essex R.R. cancellation Sept. 411. Pencil lighthouse drawing on back - John B. Sharp12. Calligraphied \"Louise\"13. 9 other letters - 2 with civil war conent.\"John Hinchman and Chalres Treles were drafted last the only ones I have heard of in Denville\" Spelling corrected\"Susan..her husband is among the wounded but she has not heard from him - she does not know witether he is living or not. There is a great time here with the drafted men. Some are trying to get substitutes but it is almost impossible to find any. I will give you a list of the drafted: Jacob Stickel, Hank Tuttel, Dorney Habsey, George Richards, Henry Willies, Wilber Shang, Jack Mesler, and a good many more\"
