Pieces range in size from 0.5” to 1.5” on the longest edge. Thiswas formerly a large rectangular sputtering target. Some pieces have a darkcoating on one side from the sputtering process. Some sides are smooth and flatas they were the outside of the piece and broken areas show the lustrousmicrocrystalline composition of this material. Chromium is a shiny but brittle metal well known for itsability to take on a mirror like polish and as such used in plating.
