TheValley Curtainproject took 28 months to complete. Only28 hours after completion of theValley Curtain, a gale estimated in excess of 96.6 kph (60 mph) made it necessary to start the removal.
This art card depicts a preparatory drawing for this project by Christo and Jeanne-Claude - one among many of theirfabulous temporaryworks of art.Their art goes beyond traditional painting and sculpture.They were both born on June 13, 1935 - Christo in Bulgaria and Jeanne-Claude in Casablanca.The met in Paris and became partners in life and began their collaboration creating epic projects. They lived In New York City.Jeanne-Claude died in 2009 and Christo in 2020.The card is either signed by Christo or both Christo and Jeanne-Claude as shown.
