Chinese Sampan Boat 1954 TV Lamp Ivory Gold Gilding. There is consistent crazing throughout; however, there are no breaks, repairs, chips. On the top is an indentation. I'm not sure what it's for. I think it may have been a planter. I've seen m8d century novelty lamps that incorporated small planter compartments - so that is likely what this was. [Edit - it occurred to me, this might be a good spot to *TRY* potpourri, scented wax, or oil]There is some staining in the crazing inside of these two "planters;" and speaking of crazing... it's over 65 years old and there's a hot light bulb inside of it.
It is approx 16"L×8"H×6"W Thoroughly clean. And it works! I've just cleaned the cord and there was no defect, nothing loose, nothing suspect. Speaking for myself, I would have no problem using it. I won't include a bulb, because the bulb that's in it at the moment, I think the wattage is too high. This needs a very low wattage, like 10 or 15. It's a regular sized socket, btw, so you'll need a low wattage bulb the size of an appliance bulb.
There is felt attached to the bottom, it's stuck on there well, to prevent scratching a surface.
The cord is 52"long, and is in good shape.
The figures, who both look to be playing instruments (girl with stringed, guy with bells?) have "cold painted" red. This is color that's applied *after* the piece is kiln fired. The cold paint decoration on this lamp is red, and red is notorious for coming off; so it has on this lamp, pretty much everywhere it was applied, but the guy has the worst of it.
The gold gilding is actual very pretty, but it is worn on the front side of the lamp.

There is a mark, around back, which reads: [copyright] Premco Mfg Co, Chicago Ill., 1954.
