original 1947 Chevrolet truck"advertising cuts"
used for local newspaper advertising
mounted in a 8"x 6" frame
showing 2 different stake beds
the individual "cuts" are approximately 4" x 2"
I'm not sure what the process was to take these and make a newspaper ad., this style is called "mats", these same designs were also made on metal, mounted on wood like printers blocks.
these mats are super rare 75 years after they were used
I have a few more of these Advanced Design truck mats in different configurations, panel trucks, cabover with a box, 1 ton with stepside bed and more listed.
