Ceremonial Black Leather 1938 Dated J.Q.M.D. Cartridge Box or Pouch Dress Events:

Available is an unusual item. It’s a black leather ammunitionbox or pouch that was made for wearing at ceremonial events. While the item is heavy and it appears to hold rounds, in fact it was only made for appearances.

The box is embossed with \"U.S.\" on the front. The reverse has four straps or buckles for mounting to a belt. The box is stamped on the reverse \"US/J.Q.M.D./1938/J.B.\" on four lines. The pouch measures approximately 5 ½ inches wide, 4 1/8 inches tall and 1 ½ inches wide.

The item shows some light wear and crazing to the leather. The box appears to have been glued together and the seam on the right-handside has started to come loose. Overall, it’s a rarer piece that still displays well. Please be sure to check out the large photos I have taken and judge condition for yourself.
